Ladies and Germs, we introduce Rum River! The sweetest, snuggliest, most liquid cat around! Rummy only needs 2 things, to feast and to cuddle! Think of her as the ultimate feline GPS – she’ll find you wherever you go, and then make sure you never leave her side. This purring machine is on the lookout for her forever home, preferably one where she can continue her reign as the queen of cuddles. Just be warned: when Rum River purrs, the walls vibrate. You may even need earplugs, but she’s worth it.
She enjoys kids, but Rum River believes in setting boundaries, so no resident little ones who are too energetic or loud—she prefers to keep things at a more mature level (she’s got her paws on the whole ‘peaceful coexistence’ thing). She’ll love to curl up with older kids, but just make sure they understand she’s the boss when it comes to the couch.
Someone was not so kind to Rummy when she was little and she ended up with 2 injured legs. She is fully healed but is startled easily. She's a brave girl and will always be by your side, but sudden movements and loud sounds tell Rummy to run. She is looking for a low activity home that has the patience and time for her to build trust. Rummy is more focused on people over furry friends.
From foster mom: I cannot stress enough how unbelievably sweet Rummy is. It's rare that we get a cat so affectionate. We love this quirky, wonky eyed girl. Rummy currently lives with other cats and kids ages 5, 7 & 12. Living in a house with young kids would not be ideal for Rummy. Guests are okay. She's a very special girl and we're so lucky to be her fosters!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Rum River will need to be adopted with another BKB kitten.
The adoption fee for a kitten is $250.
Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.
Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.
The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
