Holly is a sweetie! She`s done well with other pets. She`s a tiny thing who has a lot of growing up to do!
She`s doing really well so far! She was very timid when we brought her home but she`s really come out of her shell since then and has made herself right at home! I thought our dogs were lazy but this girl takes lazy to another level. She`s a champion snoozer, enjoys the work-from-home lifestyle, has the cutest wrinkles, is always grunting and sighing, and her favorite spot is curled up on the couch (snoring)... so she`s basically an old man. She`s been doing well with our dogs, and would do great in a home with another dog especially one that enjoys playing with other dogs. And she LOVES being near her people. If we`re on the couch she has to be touching one of us (preferably curled up on your lap or chest), and if we get up for any reason she`s right there following behind us. So far she does not enjoy being outside but she`s getting used to it. Her stray mentality definitely shows when we let her out for potty breaks. (Not in the sense that she`ll bolt, moreso in the sense that she gets so nervous she shakes and she sticks to the perimeter of the courtyard, doesn`t like open areas where she feels exposed.) We`re working on her confidence with lots of praise and positive reinforcement, and we`ve already seen so much improvement in the couple days we`ve had her. We`ll work on introducing her to leashed walks with Griffey this weekend. She`ll get there! Overall she`s just the sweetest girl, such a lover!

More about this shelter
CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
