Name: Sampson, 'Sammy'
Age: DOB: 08/05/2022
Sex: Male, neutered
Breed: Great Dane
Weight: 155 lbs, 37'@ the shoulders
Housebroken: yes
Kids: loves kids, older kids though do to his extra large size
Other dogs: friendly with all other dogs, loves to play. He's great at the dog park with the bigger dogs.
Cats: No cats
Housing: he needs a house with a backyard. He has lived as in indoor dog all his life, but likes a yard to run around in.
Personality: very friendly, lovable, playful  He has a very happy-go-lucky personality. Great overall disposition and has good play manners. He loves people and kids of all ages. He has been very well socialized.
The Breed: Familiarize yourself with the Great Dane breed. https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/great-dane  They can be expensive to own & feed. They are sweet, gentle giants.
What we know: Sammy is a stunning harlequin Great Dane. He is a BIG boy, easily the biggest Dane we have encountered. He loves everyone he's ever met, especially men. He is loving and gentle with kids and friendly and social with other dogs.  He has attended many Great Dane meet-up groups in the past.  He loves his toys and can sit and lay down on command. He heels well on leash. He's been through beginner & intermediate training class and goes on walks 3 times daily. Sammy will bond quickly with his owner.  He would appreciate a house with a yard. There is nothing wrong with Sammy. His prior owner had fallen ill, and we re-homed Sammy earlier this year. His current family is divorcing. Both families have nothing but good things to say about this big boy.  He would love an owner who is familiar with and a fan of the Breed.
Medical: healthy, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped.
How to apply: please visit our website at www.animalsrule.org and fill out our online application of interest.

More about this rescue

Our Mission Statement:

Our primary goal is to remove dogs in danger of being euthanized from shelter environments and foster them until permanent homes are found through our adoption program. We believe in the spay and neuter of all animals, regardless of breed, in order to aid in the prevention of pet overpopulation. We provide our dogs with shelter, proper veterinary care and any necessary rehabilitation. We rescue all breeds of dogs and they come to us from a variety of different sources. Most of our dogs are rescued from our city and county shelters, others are strays, neglected, or abandoned due to their owners various financial situations.

Who We Are:

Animals Rule Placement Foundation is a registered 501 (C) (3) Non-Profit Animal Welfare Organization Tax ID #13-4264510.

We are a group of non paid volunteers who have come together to rescue and foster animals in need of adoption and find them permanent forever homes. We are based out of the south bay, in the city of San Pedro, California. Our funding comes entirely from donations, our adoption fees and fund raisers. We do not receive any city, county or government funding. Your tax deductible donation is used 100% for the welfare and veterinary care of the animals while they are with us.
