Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peanut and Pumpkin are four-month-old, bonded siblings looking for their forever home together!
Peanut is a four-month-old tabby. She is a sassy, sweet, playful kitten who can never get enough of her brother and bff Pumpkin—you'll find Peanut sleeping next to and wrestling with Pumpkin, whom she chooses over all her other siblings.
Pumpkin is an active happy, playful, friendly, and outgoing boy who loves food; during any downtime from his kitten cardio, you’ll find this cute little squash cuddling with his sister Peanut.
Both cutie pies are always looking for something fun to do—they currently love chasing toy mice & balls, playing in cat tunnels, and perching in their cat tree. In true kitten fashion, they play hard, take a 30-minute power nap, then repeat all day long!
Pumpkin and Peanut would thrive in a loving home with all the kitty essentials. They especially enjoy bird watching on the cat tree, so if you have bird feeders or a great outdoor view available, that’s a big plus.
These sweethearts will be comfortable anywhere there is love, with humans who are around frequently and enjoy kitten antics—they are ready for an exciting new chapter, as long as they have each other. They get along great with their feline siblings and other resident cats; to date, they have not met any dogs or children.
Their foster mom has grown quite attached but will be thrilled to see them become a wonderful, funny, loving addition to someone’s family. As you get ready for upcoming festivities, why not add a little Pumpkin and Peanut joy to your holiday season?
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Vision

Our Values

How We Help

Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
