Cody is a 5-month-old curious cuddler looking for his forever home!
He is fun, quirky, explores constantly, and will fall asleep hard in your lap. He wants to be around people whenever he can.
Cody likes to climb things and will play for hours with something as simple as a bottle cap or as intricate as a battery-operated cat toy. He calmly walks right onto your back if you bend over in front of him.
This adorable guy has two modes: Playing and sleeping! He will stay on your lap as long as you are petting him. When you’re done, he is very accepting of it and will head off to play (until the next petting session). He is a very typical playful, cuddly kitten.
Cody currently is in a foster home with 2 adults and 2 young children. He lives with 1 dog and several cats. He spends 50% of the time in a cat room with 4-week-old kittens and the other 50% of the time he is “free-range” in a two-story home.
He would do so well in an active household with people who are around a lot to laugh at his kitten shenanigans and give him plenty of lap time. He is a bit mischievous (all in fun and hilarious) but if you don't want kitten energy, he is not for you. This sweet boy will have to go home with one of his littermates, or to a place with another active young resident cat to show him the ropes.
A friendly guy, Cody does great with all people and animals. He has been around his littermates, adult cats, a large dog and a small dog since he was 3 weeks old. He also lives with a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old child. He loves them and seeks them out. They can even hold him and walk around the house.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
