My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rad!

Hey everyone! Rad here from Great Lakes Dog Rescue! I’m a 44-pound lab mix who is ready to be wiggle my way into your life! Rad enjoyed his time with his foster family, but sadly is back at the kennel. Here's what he had to say about his time away.

Spending my time cuddling with the kids and hanging with my fur brother were my most favorite things to do. We had the absolute best time playing together! I'm a very social fellow and adore every person and pup I meet! My foster family says I'm the sweetest boy and can live with kids of all ages! If you’re looking for a fun-loving playmate for your furry friend, I’m game for a meet and greet anytime!

After a few days adjusting, I’m happy to report I’m both house-trained and crate-trained! I’m a very capable pup who is learning my basic commands. I sit nicely and take my treats gently. Speaking of treats, I had the chance to try all sorts of yummy dog-friendly goodies! I enjoy lots of toys but stuffies and bones are my favorite. My foster family was able away toys with no issue and I share my toys with my fur brother very well!

A man of many interests, I like to alternate playtime with relaxing around the house. If there's an available lap to sit on, odds are I'm already there! I treasured every moment with my family and all I want in life is to please you! I'll never pass up the chance for a good belly rub! As I'm still a young man, I'll benefit from daily exercise and continued training as I grow. I've been told I'm good on leash too.

Thinking about a road trip? I travel very well in the car and am content to take it all in, eagerly waiting for what adventure awaits us. I look forward to all the places we can go together! At the end of a fun-filled day, I sleep quietly in my crate, thankful for my time here and dreaming of my forever family.

My foster parents think I look like Dobby from Harry Potter because I have the cutest ears! If I sound like your kind of guy, please fill out an application at greatlakesdogrescue.com and my friends at GLDR will be in touch!
