Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sarge is a stunning brown tabby with mesmerizing marble swirls, a coat as unique as his story. This special boy has been with our rescue for years, observing the world from a quiet corner, slowly learning to trust. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, who make sure every cat receives love and attention, even the shyest ones, Sarge has blossomed into a gentle soul who now approaches for pets from those he knows and trusts.
Though he’s taken his time to come out of his shell, Sarge is proof that patience and kindness can work wonders. He’s ready to find a home with someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. With a loving and patient family, Sarge will continue to grow into the affectionate companion we’ve always known he could be.
If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a sweet, quiet cat who just needs a little extra time to feel safe, Sarge is ready to meet you. His journey of transformation isn’t over—it’s just beginning. Could you be the one to show him what true love feels like?

Adopt a Cat Foundation, is a non-profit organization, committed to finding more loving and humane care options for the many homeless, injured and hungry cats and kittens that populate our county. Founded by 18-year recue veteran Inga Hanley, the foundation operates solely through donations,(which are tax deductible) and the assistance of small but dedicated volunteer force---which is always in need of more helping hands.
We provide the following services for the cats and kittens we rescue.
Humanely trap, spay/neuter and medicate as needed.
Provide temporary housing and care in one of two ways: in the shelter, or in one of our foster homes.
Evaluate their behavior and adoptability, adopt out the socialized ones to loving and hopefully permanent homes. Release the feral ones back to there committed colony caregiver who feeds them daily and monitors their welfare.
We also provide community service in other ways. Education on spay-neuter
programs to the public, schools and other non profit groups.
Education on care and handling of feline pets.
Participation in youth and school programs that offer credit for volunteer activities.
We do all this and more because we love them.
