Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sasha girl is a special one! She is a senior girl who we transfer from one of shelter partners.
Sasha is estimated to be about 11 years old so like any of our dogs, we would like to be as transparent as possible to ensure she ends up in the proper home. She is currently on Proin for potential hormonal incontinence, however this is very minimum with the medication! This medication can range but on Chewy a 30 day supply is about $45-50. She definitely has minimal hearing, I say minimal because it's clear she is mostly deaf but she does in fact know when I get home even without seeing me.
Things to know about Sasha:
She is dog friendly.
She is crate trained but will bark a little if you are close by because she wants to be near you.
For safety reasons of a multi dog household she is kenneled when not home, however she does not get into anything when she is free roaming even if I am not near.
She is a love bug and loves to be your shadow but also has enough independence that she is comfortable sleeping away on her on.
Her only request is that you provided sun bathing time as she LOVES to lay outside on the deck and just nap.
She is truly a perfect girl with so much love to give and we would love to find her a safe place to live out her golden years. She is so low maintenance but also has so much personality and life left in her. She would make any home fill with joy. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heartworm negative, recent blood work done, and microchipped. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org

Additional adoption info
Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet’s permanent home. These steps ensure that we have all the information needed to make the best placement for you or your family.

More about this rescue
At Chicago Rescue Authority, our mission is to create a compassionate world where every animal is treated with love, respect, and dignity. We are dedicated to educating the public about the adverse realities of the mass-production industry for puppies, raising awareness about responsible pet adoption and ownership, and actively working towards reducing the overpopulation of dogs in shelters.
Our promise to Chicago is to build our rescue on the tenets of teamwork, education and compassion. We will listen to the concerns and ideas of those around us and be ready to grow alongside this rescue and this mission.
Volunteers, fosters, donors and adopters will be the backbone of this organization, just like every other animal welfare non-profit. We will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and mixers throughout the year aimed at building our support network. We can’t wait to meet all the animals whose lives we are going to change!
