My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chai is an estimated 3 year old corgi girl who was released from a mass production mill and is learning how to be a spoiled dog finally.
Things to note about Chai:
- It is apparent that she did have a litter so her spay is scheduled for 12/10 at our city vet so she is looking for a foster to adopt home.
- She seems to have caught on to potty training quickly but with transitioning to a new home we do ask that you remain patient and structured.
- She is crate trained.
- She is timid but wants to accept love and so it takes her a little bit she then becomes your shadow.
- She is dog friendly with all sizes.

If you are interested in being Chai's foster to adopt home and live within 2 hours of Chicago (as well as can commit to her spay appointment, apply directly. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority. Chai's adoption fee includes her up to date vaccines and preventatives, heartworm test (negative), spay and microchip.

Additional adoption info

Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet’s permanent home. These steps ensure that we have all the information needed to make the best placement for you or your family.

More about this rescue

At Chicago Rescue Authority, our mission is to create a compassionate world where every animal is treated with love, respect, and dignity. We are dedicated to educating the public about the adverse realities of the mass-production industry for puppies, raising awareness about responsible pet adoption and ownership, and actively working towards reducing the overpopulation of dogs in shelters.

Our promise to Chicago is to build our rescue on the tenets of teamwork, education and compassion. We will listen to the concerns and ideas of those around us and be ready to grow alongside this rescue and this mission.

Volunteers, fosters, donors and adopters will be the backbone of this organization, just like every other animal welfare non-profit. We will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and mixers throughout the year aimed at building our support network. We can’t wait to meet all the animals whose lives we are going to change!
