My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Demi. My three brothers and I were rescued from the rocks at the Seal Beach jetty when we were 5-6 weeks old. We were dirty, with fleas, runny eyes, and crusty noses. We were brought to SBACC and then went to a foster home, where we were all cleaned up and nursed back to health. I’m a very vocal and social kitten who craves attention. I enjoy napping in laps and like to sleep with my brothers and with humans. I need to have people and other kittens around, as I will become very unhappy if left alone. I especially love my brother, Diego, and would love to go home with him or another kitten or young cat. I can be a door darter, so you had better watch your doors.

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.
