My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bastet is named after the Egyptian Goddess known for being the goddess of protection, pleasure and the bringer of good health. A petite little girl, our Bastet is a one-year-old calico who is worthy of her name, as she is full of beauty, although maybe not full of grace… Bastet has an interesting and nearly clumsy way about the way she moves! She will make you giggle every time she attempts a jump. She loves engaging with toys on sticks – feathers, pom poms and such. She loves a fun interactive playtime and is very playful! Bastet loves to be near her people, and will tolerate being held for a short period of time, but prefers to snuggle in close beside you. She is a very friendly and happy cat who is always purring! While it is unknown if she is good with dogs, she has been in her foster home with other cats, and has shown signs that she prefers to be a single cat in the home. She would do well in a home where she is the centre of attention, affection, playtime and food! Bastet is good with kids, but MUST be the only cat.

Bastet was found as a pregnant stray, living behind a restaurant. She has been a great mom to her babies, but she’s ready to be on her own now, in her forever home at last.

Bastet is friendly with all adults she meets, but seems to have a soft spot in her heart for men. If you are a cat dad looking for the perfect match, Bastet might be your girl! But if you’re a cat mom, don’t overlook this goddess, she doesn’t discriminate who showers her with love!

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
