Hello, my name is Astrid. I am a purebred piebald French bulldog who was dumped by my breeder, I was used as a breeding mule and nothing more. Because of this, I didn’t interact with many dogs unless it was to breed me so even though I get along with dogs I get triggered when I don’t understand their body language or behavior and I’ll try to nip and dominate before they can mount me. Although I am very sweet and gentle with people and children I did not have good maternal instincts, which is why my breeder dumped me (at only two years old I underwent 5 C-sections!) Because I rejected motherhood, I was no longer useful which had me shocked and shut down for awhile. I would prefer to be an only dog. I do like cats as long as they give me my space, but I prefer the company of people rather than other dogs. I am pretty mellow, but I can be playful I desperately seek love and affection. Because of my past, it is a requirement that I am spayed within three months of my adoption, it is my rescuers deepest wish that I find my forever home with someone who understands my breed and Won’t reject me because of my past.
