Meet Sonny, a 7-month-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and energy!

Sonny came from Georgia, where he lived in a home with 10 other shepherds. When his owner realized they needed help, all of the puppies were surrendered to find better opportunities. While a German Shepherd rescue stepped in to take the younger siblings, Sonny found his safe haven with SNARR, and now he’s ready for his forever home!

Sonny adores people of all ages and is a total sweetheart. He’s also great with other pups and loves spending time playing with them. This young shepherd is smart, loyal, and eager to bond with his new family. He is house trained, crate trained (a space he really loves), and walks great on a leash.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
