Spirit is being fostered in Waukesha WI
Introducing Spirit! This adorable sweetheart is a 43lb. black tri standard Australian Shepherd. She has the best personality! She absolutely loves everyone and everything she meets. Dogs, cats, kids, everything. Spirit came to us from a shelter in Indiana. She was found as a stray in rural Indiana. Our vet tells us she is about 2 years old. Her hair is starting to grow into the longer, more beautiful coat it should be because of the good nutrition she's receiving.
Spirit loves to give hugs and kisses. She also is a great snuggle buddy too. In fact, Spirit LOVES kiddos. She is so great with kiddos and is such a delight around young kids, that we think she would do fabulous in a home with younger kids (maybe over 5 or 6 years old).
Spirit is potty trained, crate trained, she is getting better and better at leash walking each day. Spirit rides well in the car too! Spirit, while super sweet, loving and affectionate, could really use some foundational training like obedience classes to hone in on some of her skills. She is so eager to learn and please, that we believe this would be so much fun for her and adoptive family.
The one thing we have discovered about Spirit, is that she is not a fan of city life. Spirit is a "country girl" at heart. City life with all the sounds, lights and noises are a little too much for this girl, so she would prefer an adoptive home that is not in a downtown or busy city setting.
Spirit is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, negative for all tickborne diseases and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.
NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
