Meet Rocky, an affectionate, happy-go-lucky Great Pyrenees with a silly streak that will brighten your days! This loving boy adores every person he meets and firmly believes that all humans are here to scratch his ears or give him pets. Rocky’s heart is as big as his fluffy coat, and he’s ready to share his love with a family who understands him.

Rocky does well with calm, smaller dogs but tends to feel uneasy around dogs his size or larger. He’d be happiest as an only dog or with a laid-back companion. Having lived with cats in the past, he’s shown he can coexist peacefully with feline friends.

Rocky has some resource-guarding tendencies with food and high-value treats or toys. He’s made progress, but his ideal home would have someone experienced with Great Pyrenees to continue helping him grow.

New Leash on Life Dog Rescue is a foster based dog rescue that takes in dogs from local owner surrenders as well as rescues dogs from high kill shelters in other states. We also work with local shelters when they have a dog who is just not doing well in a shelter environment. We are an all breed rescue and we have dogs of all shapes and sizes. We rescue dogs who are need medical attention as well as those who are healthy and just looking for a great family.
