My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We call this gorgeous gal of the Thanksgiving Litter "Mashed Potato." She's as soft as a good whipped mashed potato, with long collie hair and longer legs. She's got a collie nose, too. She's the one who plays rough of the litter and would probably like a dog like her to wrestle with. She's inquisitive and exploring the backyard. She may make a good hiking buddy. She's had a bath, feet shave and belly shave and she did fine. She likes to give good hugs, as well. All of the litter is a little timid still but they've only been in our home for a few days. They will be spayed on December 5 and can go into home Dec 6. Her hair is long and will need regular grooming. I put her weight and age into Puppy Calculator and she came out predicting to be 80 lbs!! She's going to need a yard and room to roam. She has started to come to me and sit in front of me nicely to be picked up. She's smart and easily trainable.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
