Meet the Pet
Don't let Courage's shyness around new people fool you; his bravery shines through when exploring new environments and furnishings. Courage was the first of his siblings to explore his foster home. He made friends with the locals and discovered where the toy and litter boxes were within minutes of being allowed to roam. This sweet boy loves to play with his siblings and resident pets although he may be a little rough for some. He loves to wrestle and is in it to win it! No prisoners are taken and he only lets up when his opponent clearly and loudly taps out. This guy doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he's just a rough-and-tumble kind of kid! Like his siblings, Courage is a well-rounded kitten who is just as happy snuggling with his people as he is playing with toys and animal friends. He doesn't mind finding his place in the house when he's ready to rest and is quick to come running when he hears his foster family doing chores or playing with one of his dog or kitty pals. Courage is an easy-going guy who has never sweated the small stuff. He is fine with being picked up and held or being kicked off a lap when it's time to move. Like his sisters, he is a snuggle bug! He is fond of draping himself over a shoulder during downtime and purr contentedly in his people's ears. He is extremely treat-motivated and quickly makes friends with everyone after he is given a treat or two! This sweet boy is an indoor cat only-he has too much trust and not enough fear to survive the out-of-doors, though he would likely be a breeze to harness train. He enjoys the company of humans and animals and would do best in a home where he has a playmate to keep him entertained and comfortable during work hours. Courage's sweet disposition and laid-back nature has made him a favorite in our household. Schedule a meeting today and be prepared to fall in love with this wonderful little man!
At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days. Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold. Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.
**Dog/Puppy applications - Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
