My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scout, a young dog with an endearing personality that`s impossible to resist. His friendly demeanor makes him a perfect companion for anyone. He`s not just sweet, but also a cuddly friend who loves to snuggle during quiet times. Scout`s vibrant energy is infectious, and he loves to play, bringing joy to everyone around him. But don`t be fooled by his playful side, Scout also enjoys tranquil moments and is just as content to relax by your side. Adopting Scout means gaining a loyal friend, a companion who will bring warmth, love, and happiness into your life. He`s waiting to share his unconditional love with a family that`s ready to embrace all the joy he brings.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
