Lady is a demure senior girl with a gentle soul and laid-back demeanor. Despite her difficult past, Lady has blossomed into a loving, house-trained companion who adores cuddles and naps. Her foster mom has described her as a great 'nanny' dog since she's so great with kids, including toddlers, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She has even spent some time with chickens, who she was quite respectful of. Lady is low-energy but enjoys bursts of play with her stuffed toys and will happily hop into the car for a ride. Her ideal home is one where she can spend her days relaxing near her people, preferably someone who can be with her most of the time. And a 4’ fence will suit her just fine. Lady has an unmatched ability to make everyone feel loved and appreciated in the glow of her soulful gaze and sweet smile. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
