Boomhauer has been Owner Surrendered back to SSR through no fault of his own. Boomhauer just had too much energy for the adopter.
UPDATE: He is a very affectionate, sweet , smart, attentive boy. We completed novice training and he did very well with sit, stay and leave it. He does not engage other dogs when we are out, though he is very friendly. Good with children. Potty and crate trained. Needs more activity than I can provide as he likes to run.
Boomhauer is a GSD/Husky mix, that is likely two years old.

This lucky boy was pulled off the streets right before the Arctic Freeze that hit Texas in January. He earned his name because he talks just like a Husky and it all comes out as gibberish, so Boomhauer seemed appropriate. He is learning what it is to be loved by humans for the first time in his life and has been quiet in his crate with no accidents so far. Boomhauer has likely been on the street for a while, and has the scars of abuse to show it. Despite this, he loves pets and lots of attention, is still trying to figure out what a bully stick is made of, and is learning to walk on a leash. So far he seems to get along well with other dogs, hasn't shown signs of resource guarding, and is warming up to cats. This boy wants to be in your lap when he isn’t bounding around the yard. Boomhauer is very submissive and wants to please. He’s very laidback, but gets the zoomies outside.
