My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Thelma is awaiting her spay, and is currently available for Foster-to-Adopt*

Meet Thelma, a lovable, energetic and intelligent 2-year-old Collie, Cattle Dog cross.

With the smooth coat and friendly nature of a Collie and the hard working instincts of an Australian Cattle Dog, Thelma is a sweet, loyal and active companion who thrives in environments where she can engage in physical and mental activities, but also enjoys some relaxation and quality time with her human(s), cuddling and getting butt scratches on the couch.

Both the Collie and Cattle Dog breeds are highly intelligent herding dogs, and share many other similar personality features. Both were bred to perform demanding tasks, are alert, watchful and courageous!

Thelma's ideal home would be with an active family or an individual who is capable of facilitating the amount of mental and physical stimulation that she requires, along with all the attention and affection that she's so eager to soak up! In terms of other animals, her experience with cats and other pets is unknown, but she does get along well with her pal Louise! Slow introductions are recommended to ensure a positive experience. With proper guidance and careful introductions, she may adapt well to a multi-pet household!

This lady is very enthusiastic on leash and has a tendency to pull, so some leash training would be beneficial for her. She will also need to be on a strict diet, as she is a little bit overweight.

If you're looking for an affectionate, driven dog, who has a lot of love and devotion to give, Thelma might be the perfect match for your home!
