New in Rescue, meet Jackson! (originally Stitches, but that didn't really fit) We recently pulled him from an overcrowded tiny shelter in Cedar City, Utah. He's just a gem of a dog. My best educated guess is Rat Terrier, and there could be some Cattle Dog (Heeler) in there. 2-3 yrs old neutered male. I took him out and about doing chores this morning and turns out he's just the perfect little farm buddy. He's 28 lb of solid muscle, compact, quiet and obedient. He stayed right with me during chores. He was completely oblivious of the chickens, fine around the horses, great with my whole pack of dogs, curious about the cat but absolutely afraid of her when she hissed at him. His off lead recall is excellent. He absolutely loves to hop up in the truck and go for a ride. Overall, this little guy will make a fantastic addition to any horse gal or small farm. He could also be an excellent running buddy, if you live in the city. These dogs do need exercise!
