Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Luna is a 5 year old pocket pitbull (mix of French bull dog and American pitbull terrier). She was first rescued in 2020 as a 1 year old dog, after being found on the streets in Texas as a stray. She lived happily with us in our apartment in Manhattan, NY and also has moved with us to Garrison, NY. She has been spayed and well cared for since her adoption, with good vet care and no medical issues. Upon adoption in 2020, Luna attended dog-training to become house-trained, follow simple commands (sit, stay, down, etc) and to walk nicely on a leash with other dogs. She has never been aggressive towards other animals, and is a delight to bring to a dog park.
We are very sad to re-home her and want to make sure she goes to a loving, responsible home. We need to re-home her because she is not tolerating the change in our family size - now that our family has grown to include our son and as he has learned to crawl and walk, her protective anxiety has grown beyond what is good for her.
