My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kaiya

Kaiya, the 8-month fluffball of perfection: friendly, playful, and affectionate. She's the kitten that everyone dreams of adopting, all sugar and spice and everything nice! She has been a joy in our home but now it's time to find her a forever home where her charm, playfulness, and affection will be cherished. If you're ready to open your heart to this incredible lady, she's prepared to reciprocate with love and endless charm. Come make Kaiya's dreams of a forever family come true!

She was raised by us as a kitten then adopted with her brother Leo. They were both returned to us to no fault of their own. Their momma lost her job and was forced with moving. They were loved dearly and lived in a home with other kitties, pups, and children.

But wait, there's more! Fun fact: While most tabbies have classic stripes, Kaiya is uniquely torbie and dilute calico. Grey with ticked tabby body markings, striped tabby markings on her tail, and the traditional "M" on her forehead. She has the tan/rust third color sprinkled throughout making her the most gorgeous dilute calico torbie!

Additional adoption info

Texas Rescue Riders follows the National No Kill Advocacy Guidelines, which recommend conversation based adoptions and education to find a good home. Ensuring a good home doesn’t require excessive arbitrary rules. Adopters have many options when it comes to finding their new best friend, and making the decision to adopt rather than go to a more convenient pet store or breeder shouldn’t be a difficult process.

More about this rescue

Texas Rescue Riders appreciates our community's support in bringing dogs and cats from rural Texas into loving homes in the Midwest. Our amazing rescuers in Texas save these animals off the streets, where there is a severe pet overpopulation problem due to cultural differences and year round temperate climate. Texas Rescue Riders is an all inclusive rescue- we rescue first hand, nurse back to health, provide veterinary care, transport and adopt them out on our own. Our journey may begin in Texas, but it lives on in the north with our amazing adopters, fosters, volunteers and collaborating businesses. We are bound by our love of these precious souls who have joined their forever homes - and by those homeless dogs and cats whom we have not yet met - but who are waiting for their chance at happily ever after.
