Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Guera is a blonde 2 year old chi/terrier mix who weighs about 10 lbs. Fun fact: Guera is a spanish nickname for 'blonde'! Guera has a cute little beard and a curly tail so her dna test should be interesting!

She arrived at canine collective with her friend Panda when her owner moved and left the duo to fend for themselves. Fortunately a good samaritan made sure they were safe and they ended up at canine collective.

Little Guera is understandably scared from her ordeal and wonders what happened to her old life. She getting used to a new routine and is doing well. but can be a little shy until she gets to know you. Another dog in the home would help her settle and give her confidence. Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
