Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sammy
Sammy is a special cat, cautious but playful, friendly and lazy. He does best with a kitty friend. He is a vocal boy who meows every morning for his wet breakfast, and calls out when he doesn’t know where you are in the house. During the day, he likes to sleep in a hiding spot until he is ready for love and affection and then he will figure 8 your legs and toss himself on his back chattering for belly rubs. He takes a little longer to bond to men, but can and will. He knows how to excuse himself from a room if it’s too loud or chaotic. With an outgoing and confident kitty friend, Sammy warms up quickly. Especially if there are wand toys and treats are involved.
Sammy is up for adoption at no fault of his own. His current owners love him dearly, but for the past 2 months their 2 year old son has had sever respiratory illness and a relapse in his Reactive Airway Disease. The doctors have advised cats cannot be in the household, so the family has made the impossibly hard to decision to rehome their cherished pets for the safety and well-being of their son. Sammy is being rehomed with his identical twin brother Salem. It would be wonderful to see these brothers find a home together, but is not necessary.

We work hard to ensure the adoption process is as successful as possible, both for you and the animal you're considering adopting. We will work with you find the very best pet for you and your family. You can begin the process by looking at our available animals. We will try and give you as much basic information as possible. The next step is to complete an adoption application using our online form. This will allow us to determine if you and the animal you've chosen might be a good fit. We will contact you with any questions we might have, answer any questions or concerns, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal you're interested in.
Our adoption fees depend on a number of factors but typically range from $45 to $75 for cats and $125 to $300 for dogs. While adoption fees don’t come close to covering all the costs of caring for the animals we bring into rescue, it does make it easier for us to continue saving others. And really, it's impossible to put a price on the love and companionship a pet can bring to our lives.

All our adoptable animals are in foster homes. For this reason, we require that all potential adopters complete an adoption application prior to meeting an animal. We want to find the very best fit, both for the animal and for the adopter!
