My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey Ya’ll meet Spur! I can’t say enough about this adorable 9 week old male Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler puppy! I am completely in love with him!!!
Not only does Spur have amazing good looks with his striking hazel eyes. But this pup is also happy, confident and so so smart!!!! He learned to “sit” the second time I said the word and has an awesome recall! Once he learns a routine he doesn’t forget it. He is also lighting fast and eager to please. Food , toy and praise driven. This boy would succeed in anything and everything! Typical Velcro cattle dog, he just loves to be with people and up for any adventure as long as he’s with you.
Spur is doing great with house training, crate training and basic manners. He understands “leave it”. He is also sleeping through the night in a crate next to me. Gets along well with his foster sisters and very curious of the cat.
Spur is current on vaccinations, microchip and preventatives but will go with a neuter contract to be completed at 6 months of age.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
