Wicket is a confident and friendly girl who is absolutely adorable. She even wags her tail at her own reflection! Amazingly, Wicket was found wandering as a stray, and her previous owner did not come to reclaim her. Now, she is looking for a loving home where she will feel safe. Wicket has experienced love and companionship, and she enjoys being around people. She has been well-behaved with the other dogs in her foster home. While she loves to snuggle on the couch, she also has an independent side. Wicket is both house-trained and crate-trained. Initially, when she arrived at her foster home, she protested being left in her crate—likely because she had never been in one before. However, with gentle reminders, she quickly adapted and now naps comfortably in her crate on her own. Wicket enjoys exploring the yard and going for walks. We are still getting to know her since she is new to our care. She weighs about 11 pounds; we estimate her age to be around 4 to 5 years. Her potential adopter must be able to take her to vet appointments on November 29 and December 6 in Albuquerque. The adoption will not be finalized until she attends these vet appointments, but she is available in a foster-to-adopt situation.
