Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Was it the ears or his adorable face that got your attention? I bet it was the floppy ears! They deserve a moment of their own. Those ears belong to Asher, the friendliest, most well-rounded, playful, and loving boy you could ever dream of! Perfect is subjective, but Asher has been called perfect by everyone who has met him—especially those who’ve spent any time with him. He is calm but playful, people-loving, kid-adoring, snuggly, and so affectionate. This is a dog that, when he greets you at the door with his wiggles, glowing with love, will make you forget about whatever the day threw your way. You’ll be home to your tail-wagging best boy—that’s the good stuff all dog lovers look forward to most! And if you’re searching for a family dog your kids will love just as much as you, Asher is the one! He’s gentle and patient with little ones in the most wholesome way, lighting up at their hugs, sharing toys, and showering them with as many sweet kisses as any kid with a dream dog could hope for. See for yourself- https://youtu.be/iVuDrU1Ax_A then come back to read more!
Asher is estimated to be10 months old, weighs 27 lbs, and is likely some type of lab, Weimaraner/ hound mix. Since he’s a rescue, we can’t guarantee his exact age or breed, but we can promise he has the coat of one, the ears of another, and the happy bounce of a sweet pup. We also guarantee you won’t care one bit what his breed is when you know he is 100% your best-boy.
If you’ve seen his “Get-To-Know-Asher” video, you already know—the moment you meet Asher, his happy, affectionate nature is obvious. He adores meeting new people, whether on or off-leash. He’s quick to make friends and loves showing how much he likes you with a gentle love and occasionally a little kiss. The best part? His size and affectionate personality make him the perfect pup to pick up for a snuggle session.
That friendly nature extends to other dogs too. Asher is great at meeting new dogs both on-leash and off. He’s a social butterfly when playing in a group of dogs, with impeccable dog manners—he knows which friends are up for a game and which ones just want to hang out. Asher would love a home with a playful canine companion to bounce around with but it isn’t needed as long as he is getting this loved play sessions and walks he will be perfectly happy. And cats? They’re welcome, too! Asher met our house cat and was cautiously respectful, never chasing or pushing boundaries. He’s an excellent candidate for a multi-pet household.
Thanks to Asher’s happy-go-lucky personality and his young age, he’s eager to learn and highly attentive. He has the basics of leash walking down—ready for a stroll right away—but with a little polishing, he’ll become a pro walking partner. Asher’s eagerness to please and responsiveness to corrections mean you’ll be proudly showing off your amazing new pup around the neighborhood in no time. A house with a yard where he can chase a tennis ball and stretch his legs would suit him best. He’ll thrive with a family who understands his beautiful combination of playful and affectionate. He is ready to play, explore, learn, and love, plus so much more!
Asher is a goofy, loving, and enthusiastic pup who’s ready to bring joy to a lucky family. He’s the perfect blend of adoring and fun-loving, with all the makings of a loyal and well-mannered companion.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
