Such a flirt! In the shelter, Stormy has been quick to greet new human friends with lots of cheek-rubs, purrs, and rolling around to show off her fabulous belly.
Though she's quite sociable, Stormy can be a bit particular about where she prefers to be pet and will communicate when she'd rather have some space. At this time, she's available to a home with kids aged 10+ or no kids. She has previously lived with many other cats and, with slow intros, may be a good choice for a future home with another welcoming feline or two. In the past, Stormy was an indoor/outdoor kitty, and she may be most successful in a new home where she can continue to enjoy thoughtfully managed outdoors access.

How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.

We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.

Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.

Foothills Animal Shelter, formerly known as Table Mountain Animal Center, is an open-admissions facility (never turning away an animal) and one of the largest animal shelters in the metro Denver area – taking in 9,000 animals each year. We are a true community resource that offers a broad variety of animal welfare programs and services.
