My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello world, I am Adolin!

I am your future lap warmer, cuddle buddy, and personal playmate rolled into one ridiculously cute package! I’m 10 weeks old, weigh 10 pounds of pure adorableness, and I’m currently a mix of Border Collie energy and Pyr-itude. But don’t worry, I’m mostly fluff and love—just wait until you feel my coat, it’s gonna be like cuddling a cloud! ☁️ I live for being close to you—seriously, I’d be happy to curl up in your lap all day if you let me. Bonus points if I’ve got a toy in my mouth and you're giving me pets (I mean, that's the good stuff). I’ll probably try to melt into you like butter on a hot pancake—don't say I didn't warn you. I’m still learning about this big ol' world, but I can already tell I’m going to be a fun-loving, high-energy pup with a ton of affection to give. So if you're looking for a playful little companion who’s as devoted as they come (and doesn’t mind being the center of attention), look no further! You might want to keep a few toys and treats handy though, ‘cause once I get going, there's no stopping this whirlwind of joy. You bring the lap and toys, I’ll bring the love and the fuzz! 🐾💞

I came to Pyr Paws after a bit of an oopsie moment. You see, I was part of an accidental litter, which is just a fancy way of saying that sometimes the universe has a way of making surprises happen—like how socks always disappear in the dryer, or how you end up with an extra slice of pizza when you least expect it. Anyway, life was a little hectic, but the good news is that my sister Goldie and I were rescued and brought here to find our forever homes. Goldie’s pretty awesome, but I’ve gotta admit, I’m the cuter one. 😉 (Just kidding—well, sort of.)

I’m basically a ball of energy wrapped in a fluffy coat. If you have another doggie to play with, then lucky you, because I could play with them ALL DAY. Seriously, it’s my absolute favorite thing—games, zoomies, tug-of-war, you name it, I’m in. If you don’t have another dog though, no worries! I’ll just find my own entertainment (maybe by stealing your socks or chasing after every leaf that dares to move). I’m happy-go-lucky 99% of the time, with a side of "oops, I forgot to bring that toy back" when I’m chasing things. So if you're looking for a dog who's gonna run, chase, and never really do fetch the right way, then I’m your guy! Oh, and I LOVE toys—so much so that if I had a toy collection, it’d probably rival a toy store’s. Throw it, squeak it, I'll find it—and then probably run away with it for an impromptu victory lap. What can I say? I’m an active little guy with tons of energy, so having a playmate or some serious stimulation is a must for me. But if you’re ready to keep up with my boundless joy, we’re gonna be a match made in pure happiness!

Car rides? Oh boy, that’s a whole new adventure for me! I’ve only been in the car once so far, but here’s what I think would happen: At first, I’d probably be a little hyper—like, “Where are we going? What’s that button you just pushed?!” But once I settle down, I’d be totally mesmerized by all the things flying by the window. I mean, who wouldn’t want to watch the world zoom by like a furry little blur? 🚗💨 As for public outings, you bet I’m down! I’d be all for hitting up a café, the pet store, or any social gathering. More people to meet? More pets to enjoy? Count me in! I'm the kind of pup who loves attention and doesn’t mind a little bit of socializing. But don’t get me wrong, I can totally be a homebody too—as long as I get plenty of exercise to burn off all this energy! I’m not a "couch potato" kind of guy unless there’s a lot of zoomies and playtime first, so I need to keep my body and mind busy. And let’s talk about walks—I absolutely LOVE them! I might pull on the leash a bit because I’m just SO excited to go see what’s out there, but once I get into my groove, I’ll be your best walking buddy. Just be prepared for me to lead the way—I’m kind of the “trailblazer” of the group! 🐾🚶‍♂️When I meet new people, I get really excited—like, “Oh my gosh, new human, new human!” I might even jump up a little because I just can’t contain my joy. So, if you’re not into having a dog who greets you like a rockstar every time, we might need to work on my manners a bit. But trust me, it’s all out of love—I just want to show everyone how awesome it is to meet ME. 😄

I’d do great in a home with other dogs! I love having a playmate around—whether it’s for chasing, wrestling, or just running zoomies together, I’m all about that action. If you’ve got another dog, we’re probably going to be besties in no time. 🐾 Now, if you’re thinking about adopting me as your one and only, I could definitely manage that too—as long as I get a ton of attention, playtime, and, well, more playtime. I’ve got a lot of energy to burn, and I’m not shy about asking for it. As for cats? Well, I’m not currently fostered around any, so your guess is as good as mine! I can’t make any promises, but if a cat is a thing in your life, I am sure I will win them over with my charm...eventually...... Children? Heck yes! I absolutely adore kiddos. I’ll be your fun-loving, tail-wagging buddy who’s always ready for a game or cuddle session. I’m happy to share my energy and affection with the whole family!

Apartment living? Oh, totally! I’m a compact bundle of joy, so as long as I get my exercise and playtime, I’ll be the perfect little apartment buddy. Just give me some space to zoom around and we’re good to go! Potty training? I’m still working on it, but I’m getting there! If you take me out regularly, I’m usually on my best behavior. I just need a little help remembering that outside is where the magic happens. Kennel training? Well, I’m getting there, but sometimes I’m a little vocal about it. I might howl or even have a little accident in there (oops!), but once I settle down, I can make it through the night or workday just fine. Couch? Oh yes, I’m totally down for that. If there's a couch, there’s a spot for me—preferably right next to you so we can cuddle and relax together. Chewing? Yep, I’m a puppy, so anything within reach is fair game—rocks, leaves, shoes, you name it. I need to be kept on a tight leash (metaphorically) to make sure I stick to my toys and not your favorite sneakers. Barking? Oh, I’ve got a little bark in me. I’ll let you know when I need attention, need to go outside, or just feel like making some noise. But when I’m outside? I’ve been pretty chill. I like to observe the world more than announce my presence.

Here is the thing though, I’m not looking for a temporary gig here—I’m in it for the long haul! I want to be your forever dog, not an "until" dog. I’m not the kind of guy who’s cool with just a few weeks of love and then being sent off to the next adventure because "you don't have time for me", or I have "too much energy" or "I am moving". I’m asking for the whole package, the long-term commitment of being your fluffy sidekick through thick and thin, puppy energy and all. So if you’re ready to let me love you for a lifetime, I’m ready to give it right back. Forever.

So what happens next? Well, I would hope that you would submit an adoption app for me. You can find the app on the rescue's website, message them for it, or find it in the comments below.

I am being fostered in ✨Tahlequah, OK✨ so if you live outside the area..no worries. Just be prepared to pack for a road trip because this rescue doesn't send us on transports. So, both they and I will be expecting you to come pick me up. And what better way to start the bonding process than with a road trip?!
