My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with dogs.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

A Volunteer Wrote: This sweetheart has quickly become beloved by the staff, who greet him with so much joy when they see him. But the shelter is no place for Huckleberry, however much we may love him: This boy, who has lived with two other dogs in the past, is scared here, and time isn't taking the edge off. But get him out for a walk and happiness awaits! He waddles along perfectly on a leash, never pulling, goes to the bathroom immediately, and then gets ready to show off his stuff: Sitting for treats that he catches on the fly, and hopping on a bench next to his walker. He doesn't fully decompress, moving closer in his own time, but we can imagine that even 24 hours back in a loving home would heal his heart right up...please consider opening your heart and home to him! We love him so and know you will, too.
