My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Hi there, I’m Goldie! 🌟

Yep, the name says it all—pure gold, wrapped up in a wiggly, tail-wagging, 10-pound package of adorable. I’m basically the jackpot of puppy perfection. Why? Well, because I’m me. If you’re looking for a couch-cuddling, face-licking, tug-of-war champion, stop scrolling—you’ve found her. One minute, I’m zooming around the yard like I’ve just been cast in a high-speed action movie, and the next, I’m snuggled up on the couch, doing my best impression of a loaf of bread. (Pro tip: I’m even softer than I look.) I’m kind of a big deal around here. My human foster siblings think I’m the best thing ever because I chase them like we’re in a rom-com montage. My foster dog sibling? Let’s just say I’ve got a blackbelt in tug-of-war (don’t let these puppy teeth fool you, I’m fierce!). And let’s be honest—when you’re this cute, life is one giant fan club. Oh, and adaptable? Honey, I’m practically a mood ring for your lifestyle. Wanna go on an adventure? Count me in! Prefer to Netflix and snack? I’ll be your snuggle buddy and keep your popcorn safe (well, safe-ish). I can already tell I’m going to be the best family dog. Why? Because I’ve got a heart as big as my fluffy paws, and I love my humans like I’m trying out for a “Most Loyal Pup” award.

Oh, and let me tell you about how I ended up here—because every pup has a story, right? So, apparently, I’m what they call part of an “accidental litter.” I’m not sure what that means exactly, but I’m guessing it has something to do with my parents throwing a party they probably shouldn’t have. Long story short, my brother Adolin and I found ourselves looking for a new gig—enter the superheroes in this story, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who saw our potential for greatness and reached out to the amazing folks at PPFT. Now, here I am, living my best fluffy life and waiting for you to come scoop me up. My brother’s great and all, but let’s face it, I’m the star of this show. (Don’t tell him I said that. Actually… do. He needs to hear it.)

Okay, let’s talk about me (again), because why not? My foster says I’m the perfect mix of playful and chill—like the best of both worlds in one fluffy package. I’m what you’d call Happy Go Lucky, which is a fancy way of saying I’m just plain happy to be here, wherever “here” happens to be. I love toys—squeaky ones, chewy ones, even that weird floppy one my foster dog sibling insists on guarding like it’s made of gold (spoiler: I always manage to snag it anyway). And other dogs? Oh, I’m all in for a good romp around the yard. Tug-of-war? Yes, please. Chase me? You got it. But after I’ve had my zoomie session, I’m all about catching some Zs. My naps are elite, and my favorite spot is wherever my humans are. Basically, I’m a professional at balancing playtime and cuddle time. One minute I’m showing off my puppy parkour moves, the next I’m flopped on my back, paws in the air, snoozing like I’ve just completed a marathon. It’s a skill, really.

Oh, let me tell you—when it comes to car rides, I’m a total passenger princess. My foster puts down a blanket in the passenger seat, and I curl up like I’m on a VIP road trip. I’ll just chill and enjoy the scenery while you do all the hard work, like driving. Honestly, I’m the dream road trip buddy—no backseat driving from me! As for outings, I’m all about the adventure life. Cafes? Pet stores? Social visits? Yes, please! Just point me toward the action, and I’m ready to charm everyone I meet. But if you’re more of a stay-at-home snuggle enthusiast, I can vibe with that too. I’m super adaptable, and as long as I’m with my humans, I’m happy. Now, the leash and collar thing? Yeah… we’re still working on that. I’ll get the hang of the whole leash situation eventually, but for now, I’m sticking to my low-maintenance style of just staring at the leash. When I meet new people, I like to play it cool at first—gotta make sure you’re good vibes, you know? But once I figure out you’re safe and kind, watch out! You’re getting all the kisses and tail wags. It’s kind of my thing—turning strangers into fans, one smooch at a time.

I’d do awesome in a home with other dogs! I love a good playmate to run around with and tug-of-war champion battles (I’m a pro, just saying). But, if you’re considering me as an only dog, that’s cool too—I’m a happy solo act, and I’ve got plenty of love to give you all on my own. Cats? Pfft, no problem! I’m the type of pup who loves to make friends with everyone, whether they have fur or not. I’m chill with kitties, just as long as they’re cool with me (but if you’re a cat who secretly rules the world, I’ll happily respect your throne). And as for kiddos? Well, I’m basically the ultimate family pup. I’ve got a soft spot for little humans—whether it’s running around with them or curling up for a cuddle session, I’m all in. So if you’ve got kids, I’m the perfect addition to your crew!

Alright, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what it’s like to live with me—spoiler alert: it’s amazing. First up, apartments? Listen, I might be small now, but have you seen these paws? I’m going to grow into a big, fluffy dog, and I’ll need a house with a yard where I can stretch my legs and show off my zoomie skills. Room to play = happy Goldie! Potty training? Oh, we’re getting there! I’m already a quick learner and doing so great, but hey, I’m still a puppy, and sometimes I get distracted by, well, everything. A little patience and consistency, and I’ll have it mastered in no time. The kennel? We’re working on it! I’m learning that it’s my safe space, but let’s be real—I’d rather be out and about with my people or snuggled up on the couch. And yes, I’m absolutely a couch dog. I mean, why wouldn’t I be? It’s soft, cozy, and prime snuggle territory. Chewing? Guilty as charged… but come on, I’m a puppy! Sometimes I forget that shoes aren’t chew toys, but with a little redirection to something I can chew on, I’m good to go. Pro tip: keep the squeaky toys handy. And barking? Oh, I’m a chill kind of pup. Think “Guardian Mode Level 1.” I’m quiet as a mouse unless there’s a really good reason to speak up. (Pro tip: a leaf blowing across the yard doesn’t count.)

So yeah, that’s me—a perfect mix of puppy curiosity and chill vibes, ready to bring some golden sunshine into your life! 🐾✨

Here’s the thing: I’m not just looking for any family—I’m looking for my family. My forever family. I don’t want to be an “until” dog—until I get too big, until puppy energy turns into a few gray hairs, or until life gets busy. want a family who sees me as part of the pack, no matter what. In return? I promise to love you with my whole puppy heart, every single day. So, if you’re ready to make a lifelong commitment to a little golden fluffball with a big heart, I’m ready to meet you. Let’s do this forever thing together. 💛🐾

So what happens next? Well, I would hope that you would submit an adoption app for me. You can find the app on the rescue's website, message them for it, or find it in the comments below.

I am being fostered in ✨Piedmont, OK✨ so if you live outside the area..no worries. Just be prepared to pack for a road trip because this rescue doesn't send us on transports. So, both they and I will be expecting you to come pick me up. And what better way to start the bonding process than with a road trip?!

With tail wags and puppy kisses,
Goldie ✨🐾
