Do you want a mellow companion that is affectionate but not intrusive? Do you want a laid back dog that dogs not bark? Well Pippa might be the girl for you. She is a 40lb hound girl (should be closer to 50lbs), she is house and crate trained. She will bark if she hears something but does not bark in general or in her crate. She wanders the backyard and greets other dogs but does not really run around with them.
She did not appear to have lived in a house prior to going to her foster home. She tried to find places in the leaves to get warm, her foster mom would go out to get her so she could come inside where it is warm. She will now come inside to lay down on blankets or dog beds when she wants to rest and be warm.
Pippa comes when called and loves to be petted. She is happy to be safe, warm and get regular meals.
If you are interested in adopting Pippa, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
