My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Our website is updated daily
  • If you have previously adopted from NAR, send an email to narcats@gmail.com. We keep all applications on file, there is no need to fill out another.
Cranberry found herself in a pickle when she was left in a plastic ball in a bag outside but was quickly saved by a good person. She is young even though we do not know her age. She would love to find herself a forever home. Located in Northeast Philadelphia, Adoption fee 15.00. Proof of proper habitat and supplies a must.

Hamsters are crepuscular creatures. Like many other mammals, hamsters are more likely to be awake and active at dawn or dusk. This isn’t to say that some hamsters don’t ever stay awake all night. Much like humans, individual hamsters have their own sleep patterns. They aren’t all awake and playful at exactly the same time. This does mean you may not get quality time with them since most won't wake up until evening/nighttime.

More about this rescue

Northeast Animal Rescue is a local group in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dedicated to saving homeless, unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that depends solely on donations which are tax deductible.

Our mission is to focus on having feral (wild) cats spayed and neutered to decrease overpopulation. We are very small and do not have a shelter but our cats and kittens are placed in foster homes. In the process of helping ferals, we come across cats and kittens who are friendly and placeable. These cats and kittens receive medical attention with the help of local veterinarians, and when ready, they are put up for adoption.

We also do some small animal adoptions.
