Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Razorback Murphy (aka Murphy or Murph) who traveled to Rochester after being rescued from a rough situation. Murphy is the sweetest and happiest boy! He loves to be very close to his people, preferably on their lap or being held.
He is potty trained, great with other dogs, cats, and kids. He is a little skittish at first but warms up very quickly once he knows someone is kind. Murph has an old injury to his tongue making it look forked like a snake. It doesn't seem to bother him, and he loves to give kisses with his unique feature. He is an absolute love!
Murph is also a good listener and immediately stops if he is told "no, which isn't very often. He is learning to play with toys and enjoys stuffy type the best so far. He enjoys playing with other dogs but would also be great as an only pet. He does have some amazing climbing skills (which he has used to escape his x-pen after needing some limited activity after neutering) so he could play with his foster home friends. He has never tried to climb outside fences though and has since learned he should not be climbing out to play. Instead, he gives puppy eyes and touches nose and paws through his pen. (Don't worry, he gets lots of snuggles and love even though the x-pen is necessary at times to keep low activity levels post-surgery.) We are hoping Murph finds his perfect forever home for the holidays, but we will sure miss him when he finds his perfect companion(s).

More about this rescue
Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.
Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
