Barbarella (also known as Barbie, as she is called by her foster mom) is a Tabby/Calico female cat who is the most loving girl! She was found as a stray in Lexington, covering for her babies to protect them, before she came to Purr Partners Feline Rescue. She has been the best Mom, but now it's time for this super sweet, silky soft girl to find her own forever home!
Barbarella is laid-back but very playful and loves to chase feather toys and roll on her fosterer's screened porch to get some sunshine...then run up and down the cat tower!
When she came to Purr Partners, part of Barbarella's left ear was missing, and her left eye is cloudy - not sure what happened to this very sweet gentle girl...but it has not slowed her down at all.
Barbarella does well with her fosterer's other cats and two Golden Retrievers. Come and see this gentle girl!

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
