Sabrina:
It is true. It is hard to look away, because I am that beautiful. It is also true that I am a tortoiseshell, and true to tortie nature, I am a pretty independent gal. Do not get me wrong, I love to play and snuggle with my siblings, and I like getting pets from my foster parents or sitting on a lap once in a while, but I also like to do my own thing. For example, I am great at entertaining and playing by myself. I am learning how to live with dogs, and while I am a tad shy at first, I am getting braver by the day. I would do well with my sister, Salem, or another kitty friend to share my forever home with where I can really come out of my shell. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
