I'm Grayson. I'm a gorgeous blue/gray guy looking for someone to love me. I showed up as a stray and I was trying to get in the lady's house. So, she explained to me that she already has a cat (I knew that already), but she got me to Polk County Humane Society - where I'm now ready to keep up the search for my forever place. You won't be sorry if you give me a chance. Live life to the fullest . . . with me at your side!

Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.

Our Shelter is open every day from 10am-4pm, except Sundays. On Sundays, we are open from noon-4pm.

We are open for walk-ins, but we recommend appointments because some of our pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment with another potential adopter. We just don't want you to come to our location and be disappointed if you can't meet a pet you are interested in.
