Emmie Lou (AL) is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be 3 weeks old at the time of intake in November 2024. Emmie Lou is up to date on core vaccines (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever family unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Emmie Lou is good with people of all ages, cats, and other dogs. This sweet little pup's life has not started out very well. She was already homeless and suffered from a painful eye condition that was repaired by our veterinary partner without affecting her vision. Emmie Lou then developed bowed legs, potentially caused by poor nutrition (vitamin D deficiency), rapid growth, or genetic factors that should not affect her past puppyhood. She is currently wearing braces and is on a vet prescribed diet to correct the bowing while she grows.
