Meet Gobber

Rescued from the shelter after a limp caught someone’s attention, Gobber’s story is one of resilience and love. This sweet boy is missing all but one toe on one of his front feet, but he doesn’t let it slow him down for a second!

Gobber’s bravery grows every day, and so does his capacity for affection. He’s a total snuggle bug who loves big and makes sure his humans know just how much they mean to him. An orthopedic specialist has evaluated Gobber and determined that, while an amputation may be needed in the future, he’s perfectly ready to find his forever home now.

For local adoptions, the rescue will cover any additional vetting related to his foot, ensuring he has everything he needs to thrive.

All our cats are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our cats are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $250 plus transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes age appropriate, vaccinations, registered microchip, testing for FIV and FELV, and a fecal analysis. Cats will be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Cats will also be current on prevention. A health exam will be completed, and a certificate will be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure. Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.

The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
