My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ishia, a beautiful and rare coloring of a kitten.   Her grey tabby colors are combined with tortoiseshell markings of a Torti cat. Born around the first of August we approximated, this fluffy little girl was living with her stray mom and siblings and was found by a good Samaritan.  Luckily they were turned over to Critter Cavalry for foster around the first week of November and have been slowly losing their feral-like attitude towards people and learning how to purr and accept love.

Ishia has been responding beautifully to constant affection and handling by her Foster mom who sits in the big kitten pen and lets them explore and walk all around her and on her. This gentle approach has produced great acceptance and calmness from the otherwise scared kittens.and her siblings have been in foster care for a week and she is getting plenty of affection.. she has  adjusted to her new environment and purrs when receiving attention.  She is still nervous about being approached and picked up, but it has only been a short time in this great foster's care.  She is demonstrating fast and gains of confidence and trust.   Life on the streets can be hard for a cat and very scary for little kittens.  She is still afraid of loud unexpected noises but grows more confident each day.  Ishia is one of our first Torbies  which is somewhat rare.  She is a patched tabby mix with Tortoiseshell pattern.  She is a lovely little girl with a lot of spunk!  Isis is approximately 14 weeks as of 11/15  and weighs 3.5 pounds.  She enjoys playing with her siblings and is learning all about 'the good life', off the street.  Given time with her new family, Isis will continue to grow confident and lose the fears that were necessary to keep her alive while living as a stray. We know that someone is going to have a beautiful cat to raise if they take Ishia home.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you are interested. Please let us know where you live, City and State.

Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
