Meet Dixie, she’s a stunning 1 yr old English Bulldog with the sweetest personality. Her eyes tell a story and all it takes is one soulful glance from her to melt your heart. She came into rescue as a very young momma, she raised her puppies and now it is her turn to be spoiled, loved and adored. Dixie is a joy to have in your day, she is outgoing, silly at times and always loving. She loves everyone she meets, she gets so happy to have extra back scratches her little tail wags so fast her whole body wiggles. She is wonderful with other dogs and would love to have a home with a doggie friend. Dixie adores children and will waddle after them especially if they have extra treats for her. Her gentle nature is perfect for a home with children. This gentle lady is simply amazing, she will steal you heart and your couch!

Review application, set time for phone interview

Vet references and personal references verified, verify home ownership or rental and ability to adopt

Home Check

Virtual or in person

4.
Approve Application

Send out approval with information on canine, need to electronically sign. Adoption agreement. Review all aspects of the adoption agreeement

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption donation accepted, welcome letter emailed with educational information to welcome your new dog home. Transport arranged

6.
Take the Pet Home

Adopters receive all vetting documentation and a welcome home goodie bag for new fur friend

Northbound Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting primarily independent rescuers in rural North Western Mississippi. With many of these communities battling overpopulation, low local adoption rates and climbing medical bills, Northbound Rescue forms a partnership with these rescuers to assist them with medical care, fundraising, transport and rescue efforts in the Northeast.
