My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue**

He's looking, smelling, feeling like a million bucks... say hello to Matt-A-Millon! Matt-A-Million is aptly named, because when he was first rescued, he was covered in about a million matts. Check out the "before" picture of Matt; can you BELIEVE the condition this little guy was in?! He was found wandering as a stray, filthy and matted. He was fortunately taken in by a kind samaritan who immediately took him to their groomers and vet, then brought him to rescue. We can't imagine how long Matt was neglected to be in this condition. But we do know that he does not hold on to his past, however bad it must have been. Matt is full of love and friendliness. He is SO happy to be looking and feeling like a million bucks now! Matt is social and always up for meeting a new person, or another dog. He is leash-trained and already knows "sit" for a treat. This happy little boy is energetic and social and ready to move forward with his forever life. Coud YOU be the happy ending to Matt-A-Million's story?! Matt is estimated at one-and-a-half-years-old and weighs around 20 pounds. Email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment. Matt's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.

We are always seeking to help promote these special Chihuahuas who are too often overlooked in AZ shelters due to the sheer volume of this breed. Please share and like us on Facebook:
