Nova Lynn is a cute 4-year old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was picked up on Farson Street in Belpre Ohio on November 22, 2024 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff. Nova Lynn was accompanied by her best friend Finley Marie (who also happens to be her mother). Nova was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
These girls are a daughter-mother duo
Nova Lynn has a tan short smooth coat with a patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and a cute chubby face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, and semi-erect ears.
Nova is a happy young lady who has the cutest 'butt wiggle', and she wags her tail a mile-a-minute to beg for attention from her people friends. She pranced outdoors and was eager to spend time with HSOV Volunteer Emma Dahlgren to pose for her glamour photos. The weather was cold with brisk winds but Nova was just happy to be with someone who was loving her.
Nova Lynn weighs 45 lbs. She didn't seem to have been accustomed to walking on a leash but did remarkably well with Emma by her side.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Nova Lynn is being held on a three-day stray hold and will be available for adoption on November 25th.
Update: After posting preliminary photos of Nova and Finley on our HSOV Facebook pages, we were given additional information about the girls from one of their previous owners ....
Nova and her mother Finley had been in their home since they were puppies. They were both fine with newborn/young children who had shared their home, but they were not good with cats. Since Nova and Finley always had separation anxiety when they were apart from each other, it was suggested that keeping them together would be in their best interest and well-being.
