My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue**

Say hello to Astrid! Astrid is an adorable and sweet three-months-old, seven-pound female Chihuahua mix puppy, looking for a forever family. She was left behind when her former family moved out of their apartment. Neighbors found her running from door to door, trying to get inside out of the cold, and brought her to the rescue. Astrid may have had a rough start to life, but she doesn't hold a grudge. She is still super people-friendly and loves to cuddle and give kisses. Astrid is a puppy, so she has plenty of fun energy and likes to zoom around. That said, she still enjoys being held and carried, and will give you lots of puppy kisses to tell you she loves you. Astrid is social with other dogs and enjoys running around the play yard. She is treat motivated, which will make it easier to teach her basic commands and leash-training. Please make sure you are ready for all that a puppy entails; puppy-proofing and potty-training to name a few things. Astrid is 100% worth the effort! If you are ready to meet this charming young puppy, email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment. Astrid's adoption fee includes spay surgery, vaccinations up to date, and microchip.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.

We are always seeking to help promote these special Chihuahuas who are too often overlooked in AZ shelters due to the sheer volume of this breed. Please share and like us on Facebook:
