My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mellon, an adult cat with a personality as unique as his name. Inquisitive by nature, he loves to explore every nook and cranny, seeking out hidden treasures and secrets. Yet, Mellon is also a bit shy, needing time to warm up to new faces. He cherishes his independence, making him a low-maintenance companion. But don`t be fooled, once he trusts you, he`ll become your most loyal friend. If you`re seeking a feline friend who can provide you with a blend of adventure and tranquility, Mellon is the perfect choice. His curious and independent spirit will bring a unique spark to your life, while his shyness adds a layer of endearing charm. Adopt Mellon and experience the joy of a friendship that is both rewarding and enriching.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
