Laya was brought in by her previous owner on November 23, 2024.

Meet Laya, the reigning queen of chill! This laid-back lady has mastered the art of lounging and will happily spend her days perfecting the fine balance between "resting" and "barely moving." But don't let her relaxed vibes fool you-Laya's got a playful streak that lights up when she's around her feline friends. She's lived with another cat before and, after a little getting-to-know-you phase, they became besties. So if you've got a resident cat in need of a nap buddy (and occasional zoomies partner), Laya might just be the perfect fit. Don't forget to bring a cat carrier for a safe journey home!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
