Yeti is a 4 year old Maltese x Toy Poodle (Maltipoo) mix who is hoping to brr-ing all the love and happiness to his forever home! Yeti was rescued from the shelter where we could barely see the dog behind the lump of matted fur. He gained the name Yeti as we broke him out of the kennel and promised to give him the TLC he needed! Now, he’s rocking the shaved down look but trust us, once his hair grows back this lothario will be ready to hit the town! Yeti weighs 9 pounds and is the perfect little pipsqueak pal. He has a non-shedding coat and is an option for those with allergies. If you’re looking for a mythical creature of your very own, come meet our Yeti!

Yeti is a happy and playful dog who has a pep in his step and a wag in his tail just about all the time! Yeti was so excited to step into the cozy home of his foster people. He loved discovering the pile of plush toys on his soft dog bed and you could see his smile grow as he explored more. He loves playing fetch and shows off his agility tricks whenever you give him the chance. He loves cuddling and is so thrilled to be part of the action. Yeti also rocks a sweater and as his fur grows back, he’s gotten to explore a huge wardrobe. This little model would love to match you as you check out the local coffee shop or dog-friendly brewery. Yeti adores the resident dogs in his foster home and would be a great addition to a dog-owning home. He would be the perfect companion for a walk in the park or a trip to the store for some holiday shopping, as long as you pick up something for him as well!

Yeti starts his day at 6 AM when the resident dogs wake up. He rushes outside for his morning potty then comes inside to patiently wait for his breakfast. He takes a nap on his foster mom’s lap then he heads off for his morning stroll. Once he comes home, he snuggles into a warm blanket and snoozes until lunch, where he gets a tasty snack. In the afternoon, he alternates between cuddling, playing with toys, and hanging with the resident dogs. He gets another walk after work and then gets dinner at 6 PM. In the evening, Yeti soaks up all the pets and cuddles he can as he lounges on the couch. He goes out for one last potty and then heads to bed.

Yeti currently lives with several dogs and he gets along fabulously with them all. He does great when he meets new people and is learning how to blossom as his confidence grows. He is crate trained. Yeti is working on his leash walking and training and has been making progress, but interested homes should be prepared to continue his education. Ready for a snowy little addition to the family? Come and spot our Yeti!

Yeti is only an option for homes with prior dog owning experience, even if that experience is less recent. Kids should be over the age of 8.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
