My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Pixie – A Sweet, Shy Girl Looking for a Loving Home!

Pixie is an 9-year-old Pomeranian who came to us after her owner went into hospice and was unable to care for her. Due to her owner's dementia, Pixie was neglected for a while, and when she arrived, she was matted and unsure of her new surroundings. But now, she’s been shaved, is up-to-date on her shots, and is ready to find a forever family who will show her the love and care she deserves!

Pixie is a timid and shy girl and she’ll need some time to adjust to new people and places. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home where she can build trust and feel safe.

Pixie does have a history of biting, so she needs a family with no other pets or small children.

Pixie is spayed and ready to find her new family.

Important Details:

  • For adopters, please note we do not transport our dogs, Pixie is only available for a local (Raleigh, NC area) adoption.
  • Pixie is not potty trained yet.
  • Pixie has a history of biting, so she must go to a home without other pets or small children.

If you think you can offer Pixie the calm and loving home she deserves, message us for more information or to apply.  https://rainbowbridgerescue.org/applications/

More about this rescue

We bring in the senior dogs and medically needy dogs.
We are a small rescue making a difference in the world. No dog deserves to dumped in a shelter after giving their entire life to a family.

I had locked myself away from the world back in 2010. I saw this tiny ShihTzu on the news that had been saved from a puppy mill bust. I adopted Princess Reagan Marie and she saved my life. I wanted to help other dogs so I started fostering. In May 2021 I open my rescue.
